HAUTS-BASSINS REGION — The government of Burkina Faso has issued a call to the residents of Tuy province to maintain vigilance and reinforce solidarity in response to national security challenges. This appeal was made during a visit on Thursday by a government delegation led by Minister in charge of the Environment, Roger Baro.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the delegation’s visit was aimed at bolstering the local population’s engagement with national security efforts. “The President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, urges you to show cohesion, solidarity, and coordination to lead the fight,” Baro stated, emphasizing the need for cooperation with the defense and security forces (FDS) and vigilance in reporting suspicious activities.
During the meeting, which also included Minister Delegate for the Budget, Fatoumata Bako Traoré, and the Secretary General of the Government, Mathias Traoré, the government representatives praised the local community’s efforts in contributing to the security and integrity of the nation. “It is through unity, collaboration, and cohesion that we can achieve satisfactory results,” Mathias Traoré reiterated, encouraging the people of Tuy to continue their efforts.
The gathering also served as a platform for the Tuy community to voice their concerns about the life of the nation, which Minister Baro assured would be communicated to President Traoré. The residents expressed support for the President’s leadership and his commitment to a truly independent Burkina Faso.
