Burkina faso: The third class of the Institute for Training in Aviation and Tourism Professions (IFMAT), named "Duuni Piks" which means "Wings of the World", graduated yesterday, Thursday, with a 100% success rate. The sponsor of the ceremony and general manager of Air Burkina, Wendkuni Serge Frederic Zombre, praised the "remarkable work accomplished by the Institute for Training in Aviation and Tourism Professions (IFMAT)" before offering a 60-hour internship to the top students of the class.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Mr. Zombre highlighted that the quality of the graduates testifies to the rigor and high standards required in the aviation and tourism industries. "Air Burkina's destiny is intertwined with that of IFMAT; the regional air transport we want to build cannot be achieved without you," he told the graduates. He urged them to avoid routine and complacency, emphasizing that the diplomas they received were not the culmination of their studies, but the beginning of their careers.
The Director General of IFMAT, Zapre Issouf, congratulated the graduates, noting that they had successfully completed a demanding stage. He emphasized their rigor, composure, technical mastery, ability to excel, and daily discipline. Mr. Zagre also emphasized that the joint graduation of the second and third classes reflects the institution's gradual growth. "The objective is clear: to make IFMAT a center of excellence in aeronautical training in Burkina Faso and the sub-region," he stated.
The head of IFMAT also urged the graduates to be worthy of their class's name. "Make excellence a habit, not an event; heaven forgives neither pride nor haste," he insisted. For one of the recipients, Roukiatou Baya, this success is based on her dedication to her work. "This diploma is the realization of a childhood dream and many years of waiting," she confided.
