Burkina Faso Extends Deadline for Issuance of Urban Housing Permits and Plot Allocation Certificates

OUAGADOUGOU — The Ministry of Finance has announced a one-month extension for the Special Operation aimed at issuing Urban Housing Permits (PUH) for built-up land and Plot Allocation Certificates (AAP) for bare land. This extension, effective from Wednesday, is intended to accommodate the high demand from buyers seeking to secure their real estate assets purchased from private developers and housing cooperatives.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the initial operation, launched on July 11, 2024, saw significant participation despite technical challenges. The extension is meant to provide additional time for all interested parties to secure their properties under the Special Operation. The new deadline follows the signing of the press release by Minister Delegate in charge of the Budget, Fatoumata Bako/Traoré, on August 21, 2024.
