OUAGADOUGOU — Burkina Faso conveyed its deep compassion and solidarity with Iran, Russia, and Palestine during recent challenges, as stated by Bassolma Bazié, the Burkina Faso Minister of State in charge of Labor, at the 112th session of the International Labor Conference in Geneva, Switzerland.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the expression of solidarity comes amid significant turmoil: the recent passing of Iranian President Ebrahim Raïssi in a helicopter crash, ongoing military actions by Russia in Ukraine since February 2022, and the high casualty numbers resulting from Israeli bombings in Palestinian territories. Bazié also recognized the support and understanding of Burkina Faso’s efforts in the Alliance of Sahel States, alongside Mali and Niger, as well as from other global partners who stand in solidarity with Burkina Faso’s pursuit of full sovereignty.
