OUAGADOUGOU — Professor Adjima Thiombiano, the Minister of Higher Education in Burkina Faso, announced yesterday that his department has achieved 39% of its goals for the first half of the year.

According to Burkina Information Agency, this figure represents the average rate of completion across various initiatives undertaken by his ministry. “As of June 30, 2024, the level of execution of our activities varies from 30% to more than 90%, with an average rate of 39%,” he stated during a review meeting with the head of government. The performance review occurred after a detailed evaluation audience with the head of government, where various aspects of the department’s progress were discussed.

The minister highlighted that the operational activities of his department are performing well, but the investment projects are lagging, which affects the overall achievement rate. He expressed commitment to enhancing the implementation efforts to meet the objectives set by Prime Minister Dr. Apollinaire Kyelem of Tambèla for the full year.
