Burkina Faso Communities Rally with Financial Support for National Fund

OUAGADOUGOU — A collective of donors across Burkina Faso has contributed a total of 14 million FCFA to the patriotic support fund, a national effort to mobilize resources for the country's needs. The contributions were gathered from various segments of society including young people, vocational schools, and several communities.

According to Burkina Information Agency, vocational schools contributed the largest share with 8,999,363 FCFA. Other significant contributions came from the youth of Tapoa 'TIINFI' with 2,000,000 FCFA, the commune of Bané with 1,500,000 FCFA, and the population of the commune of Bondokuy with 1,000,000 FCFA. Additionally, the villages of Ogagou and Saatenga contributed 350,000 and 200,000 FCFA, respectively. These funds were officially received on May 31 by Ministers Fatoumata Bako/Traoré and Bassolma Bazié, who noted the donors' commitment to supporting national solidarity.
