Ouagadougou: The Faso Lagam Taaba association handed over food supplies on Saturday to the President of the special delegation (PDS) of district 9, Mrs. Jocelyne Traor©/Sanon, in support of the conscripts of the 2026 edition of the mandatory patriotic immersion (IPO).

According to Burkina Information Agency, the president of the Faso Lagam Taaba association, Adama Compaor©, stated that this gesture aligns with the association's goals to promote social cohesion and foster patriotism among young people. Mr. Compaor© highlighted that the donation, consisting of one ton of rice, five cans of oil, and 60 packs of water, has an estimated value of 600,000 FCFA. He described this contribution as a "modest participation" in the training of conscripts.

"We came to support the initiative of our comrade Captain Ibrahim Traor© in order to allow our younger brothers and our children to take ownership of this Burkinab¨ tradition of patriotism," Mr. Compaor© said. He also urged other associations and individuals to provide support, whether in kind or in cash, to aid the government's efforts in implementing mandatory patriotic immersion.

The President of the special delegation (PDS) of district 9, Jocelyne Traor©/Sanon, expressed her satisfaction upon receiving the donation and welcomed the act of solidarity, which will contribute to the care of conscripts. She emphasized that the mandatory Patriotic Immersion program, instituted by the President of Burkina Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traor©, aims to instill values of patriotism, discipline, respect for institutions, and commitment to the Nation in young people.

Ms. Traor© indicated that the food supplies would be transported to the Kadiogo regional office of the IPO (National Institute of Professional Training), responsible for distributing them among the five sites hosting the conscripts from District 9. She further stressed that this gesture conveys a message of solidarity, humanism, and patriotic commitment towards all Burkinabe citizens.

She called upon the driving forces of the 9th district, including associations, economic operators, and citizens, to continue mobilizing around this initiative to contribute to the training of responsible citizens and the building of a strong, resilient, and prosperous Burkina Faso.
