Burkina Faso Association Advocates for Dialogue and Unity in Ouagadougou

Ouagadougou: An association in Burkina Faso has called for the promotion of dialogue and unity as part of efforts to strengthen social cohesion in the country. The "Young Peacemakers" association, during the fourth stage of its "Seed of Cohesion Caravan" tour, invited the population and various religious denominations in the 10th district of Ouagadougou to embrace these values amidst ongoing challenges.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the association, led by President Hermann Guingane, has previously visited districts 9, 4, and 6. The visit to district 10 aimed to foster discussions on peace promotion within the community. Guingane emphasized the importance of dialogue and living together as essential components of peace in a complex environment.

Quoting Nelson Mandela, Guingane stated, "peace is not just the absence of conflict, but the creation of an environment where everyone can flourish." He highlighted that the caravan represents a starting point for individuals to become seeds of peace in their communities, advocating for a proactive approach to building peace through daily actions.

Pingdwaoga Augustin Kabore, the president of the special delegation of district 10, commended the association for its commitment to social cohesion. He noted that the diversity present in the district should be viewed as a strength and a tool for constructing a united society. Kabore encouraged residents to be active participants in promoting peace and unity.

El Hadj Sayouba Traore, the event's sponsor, expressed support for the association's initiative, recognizing its role in fostering peace and development in Burkina Faso. The "Seed of Cohesion Caravan" aims to continue its journey through the remaining districts of Ouagadougou, reinforcing the values of dialogue and unity for national unity.
