Ouagadougou: 520 new army sergeants, including 125 female personnel, trained in 43 specialties and from the 14th class of the National School for Active Non-Commissioned Officers (ENSOA), made their official graduation on Wednesday, promising to serve the Nation with professionalism wherever duty calls them.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the class delegate, Sergeant Sansan Augustin Dibloni, assured that the 520 new non-commissioned officers are ready to serve Burkina Faso in any place and under any circumstances, putting their skills at the service of their brothers in arms and the chain of command. He emphasized that the seven months of training enabled them to acquire the military and technical skills necessary to carry out their future responsibilities, including leading a team in combat and commanding a group.

Named "Sergeant Major Tilado Kabor©", the 14th class of the National School for Active Non-Commissioned Officers (ENSOA) is composed of 520 sergeants from 43 specialties, including state-certified nurses, civil engineers, building and metal construction technicians, accountants, automotive mechanics, and clerks. The choice to bear the name of Sergeant Major Tilado Kabor© honors a non-commissioned officer specializing in military engineering who demonstrated exemplary dedication and sacrifice before his death during an operation in 2019.

The Minister of State, Minister of War and Patriotic Defence, Major General C©lestin Simpor©, indicated that these specialist non-commissioned officers will strengthen the operational capabilities of the National Armed Forces by providing essential technical support to units engaged in the field. He noted that this increase in power is part of the professionalization of the army desired by the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traor©, with the ambition of having a more efficient army capable of facing all types of threats.

The minister urged the new sergeants to remain disciplined, loyal, committed, and faithful to their oath, in order to honor the memory of the patron of their class. The legacy of Sergeant Major Tilado Kabor©, who had previously served in a peacekeeping mission in Darfur, is seen as a model of dedication and courage for this new cohort of sergeants.
