Burkina Faso and United Kingdom Strengthen Diplomatic Ties with Credential Presentation

Ouagadougou: The President of Faso, His Excellency Captain Ibrahim Traore, has received the letters of credence from the United Kingdom's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Burkina Faso, His Excellency Angus Philip McKee. The presentation took place on Friday morning, signifying a new phase in the diplomatic relationship between the two nations.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Angus Philip McKee, born in Norwich, UK, started his professional career in 2000 and has since held senior roles within the public administration and various diplomatic missions, including those in Erbil, Damascus, and Tripoli. The cooperation between Burkina Faso and the United Kingdom has been characterized by support in security-related areas and the provision of scholarships and internships.

The Ambassador, representing the world's sixth-largest economy, is based in Bamako, Republic of Mali, and will enhance the diplomatic engagement between the United Kingdom and Burkina Faso.
