Burkina Faso and Germany Enhance Cultural Cooperation Amid Security Council Bid

Ouagadougou: The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Burkina Faso met with the German Ambassador, His Excellency Dietrich Becker, to discuss ongoing cooperation between the two nations. The meeting took place on Monday, January 26, and focused on various aspects of bilateral relations.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the discussions highlighted cultural cooperation, marked by the introduction of a new Cultural Attache and a newly appointed director for the Goethe Institute. These changes aim to enhance the operational capabilities of the Goethe Institute, fostering cultural and artistic exchanges between Burkina Faso and Germany.

Additionally, the meeting addressed multilateral issues, including Germany's candidacy for the UN Security Council for the 2027-2028 term. Both officials expressed satisfaction with the quality of relations between Ouagadougou and Berlin, emphasizing their dedication to maintaining a cooperative atmosphere.
