Burkina Faso and China Enhance Bilateral Relations Through Business Forum


OUAGADOUGOU — On Friday, President Ibrahim Traore of Burkina Faso hosted a delegation of Burkinabe and Chinese businessmen, highlighting a significant step in strengthening bilateral cooperation through a Sino-Burkinabe business meeting. The delegation, led by the Special Advisor to the President, Li Yubao, discussed key issues to enhance mutual economic interests.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the business forum aimed at reinforcing Burkina Faso’s commitment to economic development was deemed a success by Li Yubao. He expressed optimism about the country’s development trajectory, citing its rich resources and ambitious entrepreneurs. The forum served as a platform to broadcast Burkina Faso’s developmental strides to the global community.



During the meeting, President Traore emphasized the importance of advancing industrialization in Burkina Faso. He highlighted that the nation’s development hinges on strengthening its industrial sector, which includes enhancing the production and processing capabilities of national companies. This strategic move is expected to foster substantial economic growth and sustainability for the country.
