Ouagadougou – Burkina Faso’s Air Force executed a significant military operation targeting a terrorist training camp in the Kabonga forest, as part of a broader campaign against terrorist activities in the region. This operation was complemented by another successful engagement against terrorists in the Pensa area.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the targeted air strike in Kabonga disrupted a meeting of about thirty terrorists gathered under a tree for a debriefing session, leading to multiple casualties. In a related operation in Pensa, following an attack on a VDP position on November 12, 2023, the Air Force tracked and targeted a building where terrorists convened on November 16, 2023, resulting in further fatalities. Ongoing military efforts are focused on eliminating additional threats to the nation’s security.
