Burkina Faso Achieves 67.23% Implementation Rate in Business Climate Reforms for 2023

Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso – Burkina Faso has recorded a 67.23% implementation rate of its business climate reforms for the year 2023, as reported during a session of the business climate monitoring and improvement steering committee on Monday.

According to Burkina Information Agency, which convened under the leadership of Prime Minister Apollinaire Joachimson Kyélèm de Tambèla, the noted implementation rate reflects the government’s ongoing efforts to foster a more conducive environment for private investment despite challenging conditions both domestically and internationally. The Prime Minister emphasized the government’s commitment to continuous improvement in the business sector to support economic growth and job creation.

During the session, Prime Minister Kyélèm de Tambèla also acknowledged the resilience of the business community, which has continued to drive the economy and create jobs despite numerous challenges. He expressed gratitude towards international partners for their sustained support in enhancing Burkina Faso’s business environment.

This year’s performance marks a notable improvement over 2022 and underscores the collective efforts of all stakeholders involved in the reform process, as highlighted by the steering committee.
