OUAGADOUGOU: Professor Sié Kam, director of the Renewable Thermal Energies Laboratory (LETRE), invited academics on Monday to propose innovative and high-quality projects to aid Burkina Faso’s growth. The announcement was made at a training session at Joseph KI-Zerbo University of Ouagadougou, which focused on project writing for members of LETRE.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Professor Kam emphasized the importance of drafting high-quality scientific research projects to secure funding. He noted that the training aims to equip young researchers and laboratory members with the skills to develop and finance impactful projects. Kam stressed the need for projects to address the country’s real needs and produce tangible results. “Knowing how to initiate research to obtain convincing results must be the purpose of our work,” Kam stated. He highlighted that effective project proposals are crucial for attracting funding, particularly in a context of limited resources.
Professor Bale Bayala, deputy director of the doctoral school, reiterated that research funding is essential for achieving meaningful outcomes. “Research that is not funded does not produce finished results,” Bayala concluded. The training session was conducted by Professor Imaël Henri Nestor Bassolé.
