Burkina Faso: A Citizen Strengthens the Administrative Capacities of the Ministry of Health and the Psychiatric Department of the Yalgado University Hospital

Ouagadougou: The head of Global Equipment, Issaka Ouedraogo, financed the rehabilitation of the children's psychiatric center at the Yalgado University Hospital and donated a mobile container converted into an office for the benefit of the administration of the Ministry of Health, AIB learned on Tuesday.

According to Burkina Information Agency, a mobile shipping container converted into an office for the Ministry of Health administration, and the renovation and equipping of the children's psychiatric center at Yalgado University Hospital, are among the achievements of Mr. Issaka Ouedraogo, head of the company Global Equipment.

The Chief of Staff to the Minister of Health, Dr. Adjima Combary, highlighted that this new office will contribute to improving the working conditions of the staff in the Ministry's General Secretariat. "This space is dedicated to welcoming, informing, collecting, compiling, and processing user complaints," he explained.

For the head of the psychiatry department, Aboubacar Bague, the renovation and equipping of the center will provide a more pleasant environment for the patients. According to him, this donation will allow the children to thrive and regain the mental health they need. "It will allow us to be more effective professionally and to give our best," he added.

For his part, the donor, Mr. Issaka Ouedraogo, indicated that his gesture came from the bottom of his heart and promised to do even better if the opportunity arises. He invited all Burkinab¨ to mobilize, each according to their means, to build the nation together.

The Director General of the Yalgado University Hospital, Ousmane Nere, expressed the gratitude of all the staff to the donor. He specified that this gesture was facilitated by the association Afrique Solidaire (AAS), a non-profit organization working in the fields of health, education, culture, and sustainable development.
