Ouagadougou: The Ministry of Civil Service has dismissed four agents working in diplomatic missions in New York, following prolonged absences after their recall to the central administration, AIB learned on Wednesday.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the dismissed individuals include Alain Kompaor©, the former Consul General of Burkina Faso in New York, Foreign Affairs Counsellor Sid-Pa-Samde Liliane Compaor©, wife of the former Consul General, Mr. Ouinibani Konat©, former Ambassador and Deputy Permanent Representative to the Permanent Mission in New York, and K. Appolinaire Ou©draogo, former Deputy Consul. All were recalled to the central administration but failed to report back in a timely manner.
Despite receiving a formal notice, none of the recalled agents complied with the directives, leading to their dismissal, the sources reported. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Regional Cooperation, and Burkinabe Abroad ensured that all administrative procedures were meticulously followed before the termination of these agents from the Burkinabe civil service.
A source informed AIB that this decision underscores the importance of adhering to regulatory texts and maintaining rigor in human resource management within Burkina Faso.
