Ouagadougou: During the first half of November, the Combatant Armed Forces have achieved significant victories against terrorist groups across various regions of Burkina Faso, AIB learned. In a series of coordinated operations, the forces demonstrated their commitment and determination to secure the region, resulting in the neutralization of numerous adversaries and the recovery of substantial war materials.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the operations began with an attack on November 14, 2024, in the Centre-North region’s Boulsa zone, where terrorists targeted the Combat Forces’ position in Bonam. Air reinforcements tracked the enemy to their headquarters in Zeguedeguin, effectively neutralizing the largest group while the remnants vanished. On November 12, 2024, forces in Kanchari repelled another attack, intercepting and neutralizing the fleeing criminals near Nassougou with the aid of air vectors.
Earlier, on November 9, 2024, a significant group of terrorists was neutralized in Nassougou. In
the Sahel region’s Solhan, on November 7, 2024, air support played a crucial role in thwarting an attack, as a drone strike dismantled a column of fugitives, followed by a barrage of rocket fire from fighter jets targeting the entrenched attackers.
In the Boucle du Mouhoun region on November 6, 2024, the Combat Forces launched proactive ambushes in Daboura and Sami, successfully neutralizing criminals and seizing their equipment. A day prior, in Silmangué, vigilant forces engaged the enemy at their advanced post with support from air vectors, leading to the recovery of usable equipment.
In the Central-Eastern region’s Bilemtenga on November 5, 2024, similar challenges were met with decisive air strikes that neutralized the enemy’s heavy machine gun, allowing ground forces to complete the operation and recover equipment.

eapons in the Ban area. A subsequent air operation on November 1, 2024, disrupted terrorist plans in Namissiguima, with further actions in Nawoubkiba the following day.
On November 4, 2024, a chase against cattle thieves in the North region’s Réga area concluded with the neutralization of the criminals and the reclamation of stolen cattle. These operations highlight the ongoing efforts and successes of the Combatant Armed Forces in combating terrorism and maintaining stability in Burkina Faso.
