Burkina Combat Forces Inflict Heavy Losses on Terrorists Across Four Regions.

Burkina Faso: The Burkinabe army has intensified its military operations in the East, North, Center-North, and Center-East regions, resulting in significant losses for terrorist groups, as reported by the Burkina Information Agency. The strategic offensives and targeted bombings at the beginning of November have inflicted casualties among the terrorists and led to the recovery of substantial war materials.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the Combat Forces have been actively pursuing the full reconquest of national territory, building on the successes achieved in September and October. The Eastern Region witnessed intensified air-land offensives, which not only ensured the safe return of a supply convoy from Boungou but also facilitated the destruction of enemy bases and neutralization of numerous terrorists affiliated with the Group for the Support of Islam and Muslims (GSIM).

A significant outcome of these operations was the liberation of five soldiers who had been held hostage by the attackers. O
n November 4, 2024, the Combat Forces successfully repelled an incursion by GSIM terrorists in Réga, Zogoré commune, Yatenga province, recovering logistics and food supplies in the process.

Further north, a supply convoy from Ouahigouya reached Titao without incident on November 6, 2024, under the protection of the FDS and VDP. Concurrently, offensives launched in You (Titao) allowed the forces to recover various materials, including solar panels, gas bottles, and equipment for manufacturing artisanal mines. An aerial operation following an attack in Zogoré on November 4, 2024, led to the neutralization of over 37 attackers and destruction of logistics.

In Silmangué, Bouroum commune, Namentenga province, airstrikes on November 5, 2024, targeted terrorists fleeing from a Combat Forces position, resulting in the neutralization of five terrorists and recovery of motorcycles, PKMS, and ammunition belts. The same day in the Centre-East Region, in Bilamtenga, Yargatenga commune, Koulpélogo province, army forces n
eutralized three attackers and seized weapons, motorcycles, and equipment.

To secure liberated areas and expand territorial coverage, new BIRs were established, allowing the reopening of administrative services such as the High Court of Tougan. The Combatant Forces remain committed to maintaining their momentum and advancing the recovery of Burkina Faso’s territorial integrity.
