Burkina: Chinese Company Empowers Police Academy with Equipment Donation

Ouagadougou: The Chinese company Shenzhen Emperor Technology and Co. Ltd (EMPTECH) has donated equipment valued at 26,178,000 FCFA to the police academy located in Pabr©, a northern suburb of Ouagadougou.

According to Burkina Information Agency, EMPTECH delivered a 64 KW generator, 10 desktop computers, 10 inverters, 5 document scanners, and 5 UV magnifiers on June 5, 2025. These items are intended to enhance the operational capabilities of the police academy. Paul Ou©draogo, Deputy General Manager of the EMPTECH subsidiary, stated that the donation also includes 10 office tables, chairs for agents, and visitor chairs. He emphasized that this contribution is in response to the President of Burkina Faso’s call for international partners to aid in the nation’s peace and resilience efforts.

Paul Ou©draogo noted that the donation is aimed at bolstering the academy’s capacity as a training center for national police officers. EMPTECH, which specializes in identity document security systems, expressed its commitment to supporting Burkina Faso in these endeavors.

Commander Amed Ou©draogo, from the General Secretariat of the Minister in charge of Security, highlighted that a partnership between EMPTECH and the police academy was established in April 2025. He commended the swift progress of the partnership, which has already begun to yield benefits within a short period.

Commander Ou©draogo acknowledged the company’s contribution to improving the working and living conditions at the police academy and assured that the equipment would be utilized effectively. He also expressed optimism for the continued success of this mutually beneficial partnership.
