Burkina Business House Donates 7 Million FCFA to Support National Defense Efforts


OUAGADOUGOU, Burkina – In a significant show of support for Burkina Faso’s defense forces, the Burkina Business House, on behalf of the Patriotic Support Fund, presented a donation of 7 million FCFA to the Ministry of Defense and Veterans. This financial contribution underscores the private sector’s role in national security and the ongoing battle against terrorism.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the 2nd vice-president of the board of directors of the Burkina Business House, the donation is intended to aid the Combatant Forces in their mission to secure the nation, thereby fostering a stable environment conducive to business growth. Diallo highlighted the importance of this support in facilitating economic development, particularly under the current circumstances facing the country.



The ceremony, held in Ouagadougou, also served as an opportunity for Diallo to commend the “bravery and sacrifice” of the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Fatherland (VDP), who play crucial roles in restoring peace and security across Burkina Faso.



Furthermore, the Burkina Business House revealed ongoing discussions aimed at addressing the socio-economic reintegration of soldiers post-service, indicating a holistic approach to supporting military personnel beyond their active duty.



Brigadier General Kassoum Coulibaly, the Minister of State in charge of Defense, expressed gratitude on behalf of the President of Faso for this gesture. He emphasized that the donation aligns with the President’s call for national solidarity and will significantly bolster the capabilities of the fighting forces amid the security challenges confronting the nation.



The Burkina Business House plays a pivotal role in the development of the private sector, offering services such as business creation, advisory support, and capacity building, primarily targeting small and medium-sized enterprises.
