An elite unit of the national police (GUMI) and VDPs neutralized at least 30 terrorists in Yamba (Gourma) on Friday and captured at least 13 others, AIB learned from reliable sources.

The Group of Mobile Intervention Units (GUMI) of the national police and the VDP, destroyed on Friday August 25, 2023, a terrorist base in Yamba in the province of Gourma, Eastern region.

At least 30 terrorists were neutralized and at least 13 others captured.

The brave also seized from the hands of the criminals, a hundred stolen oxen, logistics (weapons, food, motorcycles) and various other materials.

It is recalled that on August 19, 2023, around forty terrorists were neutralized and equipment seized by the 7th GUMI in Diougo Yourga (Koulpelogo province, Center-East region) which had unfortunately recorded five losses.
