Ouagadougou: Basing hope on the actions of the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, in favor of the return of peace, the National Association of Bidders of Faso (ANSF) indicated Saturday, supporting the government because it is one of the victims of insecurity. “The bidders of Faso have been one of the collateral victims since the beginning of this crisis because they can no longer bid or execute contracts in areas with high security challenges. This is why we support and urge the population to support the government for the rapid return of peace,” said the president of the National Association of Bidders of Faso (ANSF), Mohamed Valéry Sawadogo. Mr. Sawadogo spoke on Saturday in Ouagadougou during a press conference intended to present the said association.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the restoration of security throughout the national territory will allow the entrepreneurial chain to get back into activity to contribute to the development of Burkina Faso. To put words into action, the umb
rella organization of candidates for public and private markets has announced in the coming days, awareness-raising sessions for populations considered key players in the fight for peace and fundraising for the benefit of the patriotic support fund.
The association also intends to contribute to the building of the Alliance of Sahel States and, with the support of the Burkinabe authorities, wishes to establish synergies with sister associations in Mali and Niger, to share experiences.
The ANSF paid a vibrant tribute to the fighting forces engaged in the process of pacification of the country. It also called on the government to continue the actions undertaken to clean up the entrepreneurial environment in order to revitalize the activities of the sector.
“Certain harmful practices that are hard to eradicate continue to plague the system of awarding contracts,” said Mohamed Valéry Sawadogo. He congratulated the honest public officials who distance themselves from these practices.
Created on August 5, 2023,
and officially recognized on September 22 of the same year, the ANSF aims, among other things, to create a lasting bond of solidarity between its members, carry out awareness-raising actions in public procurement and fight against unemployment and incivility.
