Ouagadougou—The Burkinabè Armed Forces successfully neutralized several dozen terrorists near the town of Djibo on Wednesday, according to security sources.

According to a new release by the Burkina Information Agency, the terrorists had been attempting to disrupt the peace in Djibo for several days. Intelligence services located a base 7 kilometers from the city where the terrorists gathered. On the morning of October 25, 2023, air vectors conducted precise strikes on the base, followed by an assault by soldiers of the 14th Combined Arms Regiment. Initial reports indicate several dozen terrorists killed and a significant amount of ammunition, motorcycles, and transmission means seized. A portion of the seized material was also destroyed in flames.
