Ouagadougou: The Youth Council of the Alliance of Sahel States (CJ-AES) has called upon the Burkinabe population, particularly the youth, to extend unwavering support to Bassolma Bazi©, the President of the National Commission of the Confederation of Sahel States, to ensure the success of his missions.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the President of the CJ-AES, Isma«l Sawadogo, emphasized that Bassolma Bazi© is seen as an inspiring figure among African youth, praised for his commitment to the Alliance of Sahel States (AES) and African unity. Sawadogo addressed his fellow citizens, urging them to support Bazi© in his endeavors.

Sawadogo's remarks were made during the installation ceremony of the first president of the National Commission of the Confederation of Sahel States, held on January 13, 2025, in Ouagadougou. He stressed the importance of establishing a strong foundation through the national presidents of the CJ-AES to foster the emergence of the AES and facilitate successful integration among the people.

Additionally, the AES Youth Council expressed steadfast support for the three AES heads of state, acknowledging their leadership as pivotal for a promising future for the people of the Sahel. The Youth Council, established in September 2024, is dedicated to advocating for the sovereignty and economic development of Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger.
