BUNGOMA – Governor Kenneth Lusaka of Bungoma has set plans in motion to transform Myanga Market into a modern trading hub. During a development visit to St. Joseph’s Bukirimo Secondary in Kimaeti Ward, Lusaka shared the commitment of his administration to enhancing the business environment through the construction of contemporary markets.
According to Kenya News Agency, the upgrade is part of a broader strategy to improve the flow of trade and ensure the sustainability of businesses in Bumula Sub County. Lusaka announced the proposal of tax holiday regulations meant to alleviate the financial burden on traders amidst the high cost of living, which awaits approval by the County Assembly. Additionally, the Governor urged residents to prepare for the forthcoming county trade loans, emphasizing the forthcoming vetting process to identify qualified beneficiaries. Lusaka also promised an inclusive approach to his administration, with equitable representation in upcoming appointments across all subcounties.
