Brent Oil Opens Trading at USD 72.22 with Slight Appreciation

Luanda: The price of Brent crude oil opened trading on Thursday at USD 72.22 per barrel on the international market, reflecting a 0.50% appreciation from the previous opening. This increase follows a trading session on Wednesday where May delivery contracts closed at USD 72.07 per barrel, with fluctuations ranging between USD 72.81 and USD 71.91.



According to Angola Press News Agency, Brent crude oil is projected to reach USD 76.71 by the end of the current quarter. This forecast is based on global macroeconomic models from Trading Economics and insights from analyst experts.



In the context of national economic planning, the Angolan General State Budget for the 2025 financial year has been formulated with a benchmark oil price of USD 70 per barrel. The budget also anticipates an estimated production level of 1,098,000 barrels of oil per day.
