Ouagadougou: The mission officer of the President of Faso for the Centre-North region, Issa Lagvare, led a public conference on Sunday, October 26, 2025, in Boulsa, on current presidential initiatives, in the presence of the High Commissioner of the province of Namentenga, Adama Conseiga, and the head of the canton of Boulsa, Naaba Sonre.
According to Burkina Information Agency, this second regional outing by the project manager raised awareness among the population about the major directions and typologies of presidential initiatives implemented for the development of Burkina Faso. The conference, co-hosted by university professor Moumini Zoungrana, also allowed participants to better understand the root causes of the crises facing the country.
These initiatives include the Agropastoral and Fisheries Offensive and Faso Mebo, which aim to strengthen food sovereignty and drive sustainable socio-economic development. According to the speakers, the momentum initiated by the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traore, is disturbing certain external powers whose privileges are being challenged. “This hostile reaction reflects a desire to preserve interests previously protected by unfair agreements,” they argued.
They launched a fraternal appeal to the misguided fighters to lay down their arms and to question the meaning of their commitment against their own people. The participants, including notables and village chiefs, followed this awareness-raising conference with great interest and expressed their support for the presidential initiatives. They praised the efforts of the Head of State and the Combatant Forces to reclaim the national territory, while submitting their concerns related to the isolation of the province and the commercialization of agricultural products.
Issa Lagvare congratulated the people of Boulsa for their resilience and patriotism, thanking all those who support the community development initiatives initiated by the Head of State. High Commissioner Adama Conseiga, for his part, provided satisfactory responses to the various concerns expressed.
For the head of the Boulsa canton, Naaba Sonre, these discussions allowed for a better understanding of the vision of the President of Faso and the fight he is leading for national sovereignty.
