Tenkodogo: The municipality of Ramongo held its first ordinary budget session of the year on March 30 and 31, 2026, between reviewing the past year and setting financial guidelines for 2026.
According to Burkina Information Agency, under the chairmanship of Ms. Kouna Yvette Sar©, President of the Special Delegation (PDS), this meeting was placed under the banner of good governance and increased mobilization of own resources. Gathered in the town hall’s reception room, the members of the special delegation, accompanied by the technical services, focused on two major areas: the review of the past year and the financial orientation for the year 2026.
During these 48 hours of work, the participants proceeded to examine and adopt the minutes of the ordinary session of 6 and 7 November 2025. The debates were then dominated by the presentation of the reports of the authorizing officer and of the Economic and Financial Affairs Commission (CAEF). The agenda allowed for the validation of crucial files for the municipality, including the adoption of the administrative account and the management account for 2025; the vote on various resolutions of a financial nature; the examination and adoption of the first amending budget for the 2026 financial year.
Beyond the technical aspects, this session emphasized the vital need to optimize the mobilization of local revenue. In a context marked by economic and security challenges, the PDS reiterated that financial autonomy remains the primary driver of development for the municipality. At the conclusion of the proceedings, Ms. Kouna Yvette Sar© expressed her satisfaction with the quality of the discussions and the relevance of the decisions adopted. She also made a strong appeal to the members of the special delegation, as well as to the technical and financial partners, to maintain their patriotic commitment in order to guarantee transparent management and harmonious development for the benefit of the people of Ramongo.
Through this exercise, the municipality reaffirms its ambition to promote participatory, rigorous governance oriented towards concrete results for the well-being of citizens at the grassroots level.
