Boulkiemd©: Civics and Patriotism at the Heart of a Public Conference in Koudougou

Koudougou: A public conference on civics, patriotic commitment, and social cohesion was held Thursday at Amphitheater 1000 of Norbert Zongo University in Koudougou. Organized by the National Bureau of Major Projects (BN-GP) in collaboration with the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights, this conference aims to rekindle the patriotic flame of Burkinabe citizens around the ideals of the Progressive and Popular Revolution.

According to Burkina Information Agency, in his opening speech, the governor emphasized the importance of the event and praised the strong mobilization of the participants. The opportunity was for him to read the speech of Captain Ibrahim Traor©, in which he emphasized the importance of education in the values of patriotism, civics, and peace.

Mr. B©r© affirmed that the future of the country rests on its youth, and that it is imperative to prepare them not only in terms of knowledge and skills, but also by encouraging them to appropriate the fundamental values of the country. These values will enable young people to face the challenges of the world with dignity, he indicated.

The event brought together various personalities, including the Technical Advisor of the Presidential Initiative for Community Development, the Grand Chancellor of the Burkinabe Orders, Pingrenoma Zagr©, and the Commander of the Second Military Region, Lieutenant-Colonel Lassan© Porgo, as well as numerous representatives of all social strata in the region.

The conference was structured around three main themes: civics and citizenship, patriotic commitment and citizen participation, and the culture of peace and social cohesion. The speakers focused on the concepts of civic duty and patriotism, explaining their definitions, the values they embody, the challenges they face, and the rights and responsibilities of citizens.

At the close of the event, representatives from different social strata took the floor to express their solidarity and unwavering support for the vision of the country's top authorities.
