Boulgou: Zons© ‘A’ Primary School Hosts National Flag-Raising Ceremony

Boulgou: The Zons© 'A' public primary school hosted the monthly national flag-raising ceremony on Tuesday in the presence of administrative authorities, community leaders, education supervisors, teaching staff, and students. The ceremony commenced with the students singing the national anthem in the Bissa language as the flag was raised.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the school's director, Awa Tapsoba, expressed gratitude towards the administrative authorities, educational supervisors, staff, and students for their participation. She emphasized the role of education as the cornerstone of national development and reaffirmed her commitment to nurturing responsible and patriotic students.

The chief inspector of the basic education district of Zons©, Yigo Tobour©, acknowledged the participant turnout and encouraged stakeholders to bolster the educational system. He highlighted the importance of education in shaping the future of Burkina Faso and advised teachers to remain dedicated to their mentoring roles, especially as the second term assessments approach.

Wendinmi Fr©d©ric Ou©draogo, the prefect and president of the special delegation of the commune of Zons©, commended the community's efforts toward security and development. He stressed that local development requires the active participation of all citizens, not just state and administrative bodies. Using a popular saying, he illustrated the need for collective effort in community development.

The prefect elaborated on citizen participation, including community initiatives, tax payment, environmental conservation, and support for state security and development efforts. He also referenced the 169th International Women's Day, celebrated under the theme of peacebuilding, and honored the women of Zons© for their role in conflict prevention and resolution.

In conclusion, the prefect underscored the significance of tax contributions as an act of patriotism and vital to local development. He announced the anticipated arrival of tax officials in the municipality by the end of March to facilitate residents in meeting their tax responsibilities.
