Boulgou/Zabr©: OSEP Final Celebrates Success for CEB Zabr© 2

Boulgou: The Zabr© 2 Basic Education District (CEB), in Boulgou Province, concluded the activities of the Primary School Sports Organization (OSEP) on Saturday, April 25, 2026, in a festive and convivial atmosphere. The head of the Basic Education District (CCEB), Hanouna Zann©, expressed his gratitude for the multifaceted support that contributed to the event's success.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the event, launched on January 14, 2026, in Youga, reached its climax on the grounds of the Zabr© Evangelical School. A total of 35 teams participated in the sporting and cultural competitions. Sporting activities included athletics, sprints, jumping events, and women's cycling. Culturally, students showcased traditional and modern dances, theatrical performances, recitals, skittles, and writing and drawing competitions.

Conferences were held in Youga, Bªka, Youngou, and Zabr© around the theme: "The impact of gold on children's education." The 2026 edition was organized under the theme: "Gold mine at the service of civic education," with official sponsorship from the Youga mining company, Soleil Resources.

The event's patron, T. Jacques Gouba, Director of the Promotion of National Expertise, expressed his pleasure in associating with the event and commended the talent and commitment of the children. The godmother, L©ontine Zagr©, a bank executive, also expressed her readiness to support education, particularly in Zabr©.

CCEB representative Hanouna Zann© shared his satisfaction, highlighting the support and smooth execution of the activities. The closing ceremony featured school parades, speeches, a football match, artistic performances, and prize presentations.

The Bangou public primary school emerged victorious in the football final, defeating Zabr© 'B' school by 3 goals to 1, securing the trophy for the second consecutive year. They received 70,000 FCFA, a set of jerseys, a ball, and the trophy. Zabr© "B" school, as the runner-up, received 50,000 FCFA, a ball, and a set of jerseys.

At the conclusion of the edition, there was widespread satisfaction among organizers, participants, and authorities, who praised the quality of the organization and the positive impact of OSEP in strengthening social cohesion and promoting civic values in primary schools.
