Boulgou: The High Council of Delegates of Burkina Faso in Spain donated medical equipment worth more than three million CFA francs to the Zabr© health district. This donation includes two fully equipped electric medical beds and an oxygen gas kit, officially handed over by Tobiz©r© Jean Zanz¨, a member of the High Council of Burkinabe Abroad (HCBE) – Spain section.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Mr. Zanz¨ highlighted a personal tragedy that motivated this act of solidarity. He recounted the loss of a friend’s wife due to a lack of oxygen at the Zabr© CMA, which occurred during her evacuation to the Tenkodogo University Hospital. This incident prompted Mr. Zanz¨ to seek support from his compatriots in Spain and the Honorary Consul of Spain in Burkina Faso to facilitate the donation.

Alain B. Bassono, the prefect and president of the Zabr© special delegation, expressed gratitude for the initiative. He emphasized the importance of health-related contributions and praised Mr. Zanz¨’s consistent generosity. Bassono also called upon others to emulate this example of goodwill.

Souleymane Sawadogo, representing the district’s chief medical officer (CMO), conveyed the medical staff’s appreciation: “We sincerely thank Mr. Zanz¨ for his constant efforts on behalf of the district. May God and the spirits of our ancestors reward him, and may peace return to Burkina Faso.”
