Boulgou: The Association of Widows and Orphans Residents of Bittou offered kits to children at Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) on Sunday, November 17, 2024, in Bittou. The Association of Widows and Orphans Residents of Bittou (AVORB) provided school kits and food products to 120 Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) in Bittou.
According to Burkina Information Agency, these kits consist of 50 bags of rice, 30 school bags, 20 academies, and the school fees of these OVC. The donation ceremony was chaired by the prefect, president of the special delegation of Bittou, Mohamed Lamine Diabaté.
The aim of these donations is to help these OVCs to flourish like other children and to relieve their parents, says the head of the association. It was made possible thanks to funding from the solidarity fund for AIDS patients and orphans (FS MOS) of the Permanent Secretariat of the National Council for the Fight against AIDS and Sexually Transmitted Infections (SP CNLS-IST).
This handover was also carried out in the
presence of the head of the communal social action service, a mission of the members of the regional service of the regional branch of the SP CNLS-IST of the Centre-East region.
