Bougouriba Sees Influx of Motorcycle Clubs for Tourism Excursion

Ouagadougou: A delegation of eleven recreational motorcyclists, members of the West Burkina Bikers, Dafra Riders, and West Coast Adventure clubs, embarked on a tourist excursion to the rural commune of Dolo in Bougouriba province. The event took place on Sunday, August 2, 2026, and the motorcyclists were warmly welcomed by the customary authorities and the residents.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the group of motorcycle enthusiasts traveled from Bobo-Dioulasso, covering approximately 248 kilometers round trip. Their goal was to explore the potential of the area while enjoying a shared experience with the local community. The convoy was led by Mamadou Sawadogo, president of the Dafra Riders club.

Upon their arrival, the motorcyclists were received by His Majesty the Chief of the land of Dolo, Bª Kam. The Chief expressed his appreciation for the initiative, which he considered a first for the commune. He noted that the visit provided an opportunity for both children and the elderly to see and admire the powerful motorcycles.

As a gesture of hospitality, the Chief presented the visitors with a rooster and wished them a safe journey home. He also praised Ms. Blandine Palm/Gniminou for her efforts in promoting the commune and attracting visitors to enhance Dolo's reputation.

Mamadou Sawadogo, speaking on behalf of the delegation, expressed gratitude for the warm reception. He noted that the gift from the Chief symbolized the bonds of fraternity and hospitality experienced during their stay.

This excursion aims to promote local tourism, explore different areas, and strengthen connections between motorcycle enthusiasts and local communities.
