DÉDOUGOU — The regional directorate of post-primary and secondary education of Boucle du Mouhoun launched the third edition of its academic and professional orientation days on July 5, aimed at guiding new high school graduates through the complexities of educational and career planning. The event, which runs until July 7, 2024, under the oversight of regional governor Babo Pierre Bassinga, focuses on addressing the challenges of employability amid local insecurities.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the regional director of post-primary and secondary education, the orientation days serve as a critical platform for graduates to explore various academic and professional opportunities, especially in self-employment. This initiative seeks to provide detailed information on training programs available on the CAMPUS FASO platform and to assist students in making informed decisions regarding their educational and career futures.
Governor Bassinga expressed his gratitude to the educational stakeholders for their dedication to maintaining high standards of education within the region, which has been reflected in the high success rates at various examinations despite significant challenges. He emphasized the crucial role of proper academic guidance in the socio-professional integration of young graduates and urged the educational community to continue supporting such beneficial initiatives.
Over the course of three days, graduates will engage in discussions with various educational institutions, including public and private universities and professional schools. They will participate in conference debates on topics such as professional integration, self-employment, and youth entrepreneurship. Additionally, the event features interactive stands where students can learn more about different study programs and make well-informed choices about their future studies.
