Boucle du Mouhoun Achieves 36.13% Success Rate in First Baccalaureate Round


BOUCLE DU MOUHOUN — The Boucle du Mouhoun region reported a 36.13% success rate in the first round of the 2024 Baccalaureate examinations, with results announced across various examination centers on Thursday.



According to Burkina Information Agency, a total of 2,951 candidates succeeded, including 1,442 girls and 1,509 boys. The province of Kossi led with a success rate of 44.88%, followed by Sourou at 40.33%, and Mouhoun at 38.78%. Other provinces like Banwa, Balé, and Nayala had success rates of 34.83%, 30.55%, and 27.65%, respectively.



This year’s results mark an improvement over the previous session in 2023, which had a success rate of 31.36%, showing a significant increase of 4.77 percentage points. Notably, the provinces most affected by regional security issues, Kossi and Sourou, achieved the highest success rates. The region is now awaiting the outcomes of the second round to finalize the overall statistics for this session’s Baccalaureate exams.
