Addis Ababa: President Duma Boko of Botswana arrived in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia to participate in the 38th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the African Union. Upon his arrival, the president was welcomed by Ethiopia’s Minister of Women and Social Affairs, Ergogie Tesfaye, along with other government officials at Bole International Airport.
According to Ethiopian News Agency, the 38th AU Heads of State Summit will be held in Addis Ababa from February 15 to 16 under the theme: “Justice for Africans and People of African Descent through Reparations.” The summit aims to focus on advancing reparatory justice and fostering racial healing across the continent.
As African leaders gather in Ethiopia’s capital for the AU Summit, a key moment will be the election of the next African Union Commission Chairperson.
