Bondoukuy: The Bondoukuy Workers' Association organized a delayed Labor Day celebration on Saturday, May 9, 2026, in Bondoukuy, featuring sports, civic, and recreational activities aimed at promoting social cohesion and strengthening ties between the population, workers, and security forces. The event commenced with a popular 5km race, drawing many participants and fostering an atmosphere of community spirit.

Zita Laurent Bicaba, president of the Bondoukuy Workers' Association, expressed gratitude for the strong mobilization of participants and presented the program of activities. He officially welcomed the national gendarmerie brigade, which was installed to replace the National Police in the town since May 4, 2026.

Lazare Bado, President of the special delegation of the municipality of Bondoukuy, praised the initiative of the Workers' Association as a means to enhance social cohesion and community living. He acknowledged the dedication of the organizers to social stability and introduced the new gendarmerie brigade commander and the deputy captain of the road gendarmerie squadron.
