Bogandé – On January 12, 2024, the commencement of the rehabilitation project for the road section between Bogandé and Tiéri, spanning 10 kilometers, was officially launched in Bogandé. According to Agence d’Information du Burkina (AIB), this significant infrastructure project marks a crucial step in enhancing regional connectivity.
According to Burkina Information Agency, The rehabilitation of the Bogandé-Tiéri road involves a substantial investment of 300 million FCFA. This financial endeavor is jointly supported by the Burkinabè government and the World Bank. The project’s scope includes a complete overhaul of a 10.39-kilometer stretch, addressing its previously deteriorated condition.
YENTELLA Sarl, a prominent construction firm, has been assigned the responsibility of executing the rehabilitation works. The company is tasked with the challenge of transforming the road within a five-month timeframe. This initiative is not just limited to road refurbishment but also includes ancillary projects such as the drilling of two boreholes and conducting various awareness campaigns throughout the duration of the road works.
This rehabilitation project is a segment of the broader Emergency Territorial Development and Resilience Project (PUDTR). The PUDTR aims to develop approximately 150 kilometers of rural roads in the Boucle du Mouhoum and East regions. The overarching goal of this expansive program is to significantly enhance both physical and virtual connectivity among various localities, thereby boosting regional development and integration.
