Bogand© High Court Celebrates Judicial Resilience and Commitment to Justice

Bogand©: The Bogand© High Court (TGI) hosted a social gathering Thursday evening for representatives of the Gnagna province, on the eve of the judicial recess. The meeting, chaired by the provincial secretary general, Mendien dit Moussa Soma, provided an opportunity to commend the court's resilience, strengthen ties between institutions, and reaffirm the commitment of judicial actors to bringing justice closer to the people as the security situation improves.

According to Burkina Information Agency, magistrates, administrative authorities, military, paramilitary, customary, and religious leaders gathered around a convivial meal, at the initiative of the Bogand© High Court. Speaking at the event, the prosecutor of Faso at the High Court of Bogand©, Ange Millogo, indicated that this meeting reflects a spirit of dialogue, complementarity, and solidarity between the different components of the province. Returning to the functioning of the jurisdiction, he highlighted the resilience shown by the Tribunal since its redeployment.

"Since our return, we have felt a real thirst for justice from those seeking justice. We have been working to offer users the service they expected," he said. According to him, this evening follows the annual general meeting of judicial staff, who deemed it appropriate to share a moment of fraternity with the constituted bodies in order to consolidate collaborative relations.

Addressing the security situation, the prosecutor of Faso welcomed the progress made on the ground. "There is a glimmer of hope. Things have changed a lot and very quickly. Today, I take National Route No. 18 and I make the round trip without a convoy," he stated, before paying a vibrant tribute to the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) as well as the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) for the sacrifices made in the reconquest of the territory. He also reaffirmed the justice system's commitment to supporting this dynamic.

"For every centimeter of territory recaptured, the Tribunal will relocate to allow the people to get closer to justice," he promised. In memory of the fighters who fell on the field of honour, the participants observed a minute of silence.

Representing the High Commissioner of the province, the Secretary General of the province of Gnagna, Mendien dit Moussa Soma, welcomed the initiative of the Tribunal as well as the daily efforts made by all judicial staff for the benefit of litigants despite a difficult context. He also expressed optimism about the evolving security situation, nurturing hope that the gradual return of administration and public services to the affected localities could soon become a reality.

This convivial evening thus made it possible to reaffirm the commitment of judicial actors to pursue their public service mission as close as possible to the people, while strengthening the bonds of trust between the justice system and the other vital forces of the province.
