Bobo-Dioulasso: The Prime Minister visits the dry port, the municipal museum Sogossira Sanon and ADIPROD Industrie

Present in Bobo-Dioulasso, the Prime Minister, Dr Apollinaire Joachimson Kyélèm de Tambèla, immersed himself in several infrastructures. These are the multimodal dry port, the Sogossira Sanon municipal museum and ADIPROD Industrie, an industrial unit.

The multimodal dry port of Bobo-Dioulasso was the first infrastructure to receive the visit of the Prime Minister, Dr. Apollinaire Joachimson Kyélèm de Tambèla.

Built by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Burkina Faso (CCI-BF) on a 120-hectare site and put into operation since January 2010, the dry port is located in the industrial zone of Bobo-Dioulasso.

Its realization has greatly contributed to facilitating the operations of transporting goods from or to seaports, because the city of Bobo-Dioulasso is the crossroads of commercial exchanges to or from Mali, Niger, the Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana and also parts of Burkina Faso.

During this visit, the Head of Government was able to touch on the various infrastructures as well as the extension and rehabilitation works of this important platform.

“The dry port amazed me, in terms of investments and vision. The outlook is good because we have big plans for the city of Bobo-Dioulasso. We have the Bobo-Orodara road rehabilitation project, up to Mali. This will streamline and increase traffic. We also have the Bobo-Dioulasso-Sikasso-Bamako railway project. This will give more traffic and scale to the dry port,” he said.

“There is also the Bobo-Dioulasso international airport which is in an expansion and modernization phase. This will increase traffic and the need for the dry port. We also have the Ouagadougou-Bobo-Dioulasso highway project which is under negotiation,” he continued.

According to him, within a few years Bobo-Dioulasso will shine. Bobo-Dioulasso must shine so that with Ouagadougou Burkina Faso can move forward.

With the two cities connecting, we can more easily push development in that direction,” he added.

Subsequently, the course was set for the municipal museum Sogossira Sanon, formerly called the provincial museum of Houet. Located in Bolomakoté, this museum is one of the most visited in Bobo-Dioulasso.

This museum was created 33 years ago, and its mission is to collect, promote, enhance, inventory all the elements of the cultural and historical heritage of the communities of the West, in particular and of Burkina Faso in general. and exhibit them.

Here too, the Head of Government was fascinated by the various exhibits in this museum which trace our history.

Following these two infrastructures, the Prime Minister’s steps converged on ADIPROD Industrie, an oil mill serving local production, as it works in the processing of almonds (shea) and oilseeds (sesame, cotton, soybeans, peanuts). , etc.) into shea butter and edible oil.

The Head of Government also praised the prowess of this industrial unit.

“I see that this company has vision, especially when it comes to the quality of these products. This is the example of a Burkina who wins. I am very proud of the managers of this company and offer them my congratulations,” he said.

Moreover, he called on the Burkinabè to consume the products that will come out of this factory, because for him, instead of consuming what comes from elsewhere, let us consume our own products.

“Thus, we will encourage promoters who will be able to expand their businesses and employ more people. It’s Burkina Faso that will shine,” said Kyélèm de Tambèla.

Moreover, he insisted on the fact that everything is possible for the Burkinabè. You have to be persistent and believe in your dreams. We are confident in the future of our country,” he said.
