Bobo-Dioulasso Government Invests in Tomato Factory Access Road

BOBO-DIOULASSO — The government has allocated 225 million FCFA towards enhancing the infrastructure leading to Bobo-Dioulasso’s tomato processing plant. This funding is earmarked for improvements to the plant’s access roads, spanning a distance of 7.5 kilometers, in a bid to facilitate smoother logistics and operations for the facility.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the upgrade task has been assigned to the construction firm General Contractor 2S (EG2S), which has a proven track record in infrastructural development, including a significant maintenance contract for the road network in the Center-West region, valued at 239.43 million FCFA in 2020. The expected completion timeline for this road enhancement project is five months, underscoring the government’s commitment to improving industrial infrastructure and supporting local industries.
