BOAD Grants $234 Million to Tackle Ivory Coast Housing Deficit

Côte d’Ivoire is set to combat its housing deficit, estimated at 600,000 units annually, with a substantial financial boost. The West African Development Bank (BOAD) has pledged support to address this challenge with a substantial funding package.

According to Africa News Agency, the financial support totals 145 billion FCFA (over $234 million). This funding follows a $75 million loan agreement signed in July between the Ivorian authorities and the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA) for the construction of 7,500 housing units.
