BITTOU - In a robust display of civic engagement, the youth of Bittou, under the guidance of the president of the special delegation, Mohamed Lamine Diabaté, conducted a health and sanitation day on Thursday, August 15, 2024, featuring a series of sporting and cultural events.
According to Burkina Informational Agency, the initiative saw the participation of various community segments, including department heads, defense and security personnel, volunteers for homeland defense, civic organizations, and local residents. The primary focus was the comprehensive cleanup of the area surrounding RN16, stretching from the town hall to the Bittou customs yard, where participants removed weeds and debris to enhance the town’s cleanliness.
The event also included a popular cross-country race and a football tournament themed "football, a factor of social cohesion and residence in the commune of Bittou." These activities not only promoted physical health and community spirit but also underscored the role of sports in fostering social cohesion within Bittou.
