Boulgou: The coordination of Bittou citizen monitoring associations trained student delegates from Bittou high schools and colleges. The coordination of Bittou's municipal citizen monitoring associations organized a training course on terrorism for the general delegates of high schools and colleges in public and private establishments in Bittou, on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Bittou town hall. The objective of the training was to invite high school and college delegates to contribute to the fight against terrorism by raising awareness among their peers and supporting the main thrusts of the political, economic, and social vision. They must contribute to the general mobilization of behavioral change and awareness.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the training was held on two themes, namely the vision of the President of Faso and the prevention of radicalization and violent extremism in schools. The day's speaker, Soumayda Yam©ogo, focused his presentation on radicalization and violent extremism in front of the representative of the commander of the Bittou national gendarmerie, the population, and the general delegates of the establishments.
The president of the municipal coordination of citizen monitoring associations of Bittou, Moubarick Guessongo, in his communication, focused on the vision of the President of Faso, particularly on the major areas of development such as agriculture, general mobilization, behavioral change, and awareness. He also invited students and teachers to be good relays for respecting class hours.
The student representative of the Bittou departmental high school, Benao Teegawend© €š¬…¡¬‚¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬¦¡¬°ric, expressed his satisfaction with the Bittou civic watch initiative. He stated that the training provided them with sound advice while remaining supportive and raising awareness among their classmates about discipline and radicalization.
This event marks the second of its kind, following a session held on April 19, 2025, where the municipal coordination of citizen monitoring associations of Bittou trained the customary and religious leaders of the commune of Bittou on disinformation and radicalization.
