Boulgou: The second edition of the Bittou Resilience Cup final reached its apotheosis as the football final took place on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at the Bittou sector 1 football field. The final match featured the Diamant Rouge team against the Bittou youth hopeful team, with the latter securing victory by scoring 2 goals to 1. According to Burkina Information Agency, the promoter of the tournament, Mahamadi Saré, emphasized that the event aims to promote social cohesion and unite the youth of Bittou through football. Saré believes that such initiatives help the community momentarily forget the ongoing insecurity challenges faced by the commune. The event witnessed significant attendance, with enthusiastic supporters and the representative of the head of the Bittou gendarmerie station present. Several prizes were distributed among the participating teams. The victorious team was awarded a trophy, a ball, a set of jerseys, medals, and a sum of 50,000 FCFA. The runner-up received a set of jerseys, a ball, and 30,000 FCFA. Additionally, the teams securing the third and fourth places were also recognized with awards.
