Bittou Health District Honored with Excellence Awards in Tenkodogo

TENKODOGO – The Bittou health district was celebrated with multiple awards of excellence this Saturday for its exceptional service and initiatives in healthcare, during the 3rd annual Center-East region health excellence day.

According to Burkina Information Agency, head doctor of the Bittou health district, the awards recognized the district’s comprehensive approach to managing childhood illnesses, advancing children’s healthcare, combating malaria, and addressing pre-cancerous conditions. The accolades also highlighted the vital role of village midwives in task delegation. Dr. Ouattara credited the success to the collaborative efforts of administrative and customary authorities, defense and security forces, and municipal health personnel from Bittou and Bané.

The ceremony, which took place in Tenkodogo, was presided over by the Minister of Health, who represented the Prime Minister. Accompanying the Health Minister were the Ministers of Infrastructure and Security, underscoring the government’s support for enhancing healthcare services in the region. The annual event aims to foster excellence and innovation in healthcare across the Center-East region, showcasing effective models of healthcare delivery that can be replicated throughout the country.
