Bishop Oballa Urges Rejection of LGBTQ Practices as Unbiblical in Ngong

NGONG—During an educational event at St. Mary's Secondary School in Narok County, Bishop John Oballa of Ngong's Diocese addressed students and faculty, advocating for the rejection of LGBTQ practices based on biblical and natural law principles. The bishop emphasized the importance of adhering to God's will to ensure personal and communal success.

According to Kenya News Agency, the promotion or recruitment into the LGBTQ community represents a deviation from Christian teachings. He urged the students to focus instead on engaging in productive activities that would foster their career development. The bishop also highlighted the dangers of drug use among youths, advising them to steer clear of peers who might encourage such behaviors. He stressed that rejecting drugs is crucial for maintaining health.

In his speech, Bishop Oballa delineated three types of love: self-giving love exemplified by God's sacrifice of His only son, self-centered love that seeks personal gain, and pleasure-seeking love, which he claimed falls short of divine intentions. He called on the students to exhibit a selfless love that prioritizes the well-being of others over personal benefits.
