Ouagadougou: Binde C public primary school organized a day on Thursday, April 30, 2026, dedicated to showcasing the artistic and cultural talents of students, as part of the promotion of endogenous values ??advocated by the Ministry in charge of Education. The initiative, coordinated by the school's director, Elie Kanko, mobilized the entire educational community around activities highlighting local cultural riches.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony began with the raising of the national colors, followed by a parade. A culinary exhibition also allowed participants to discover and taste several local dishes, including beignets, babenda, and zamene. The organizers emphasized that this activity is part of the dynamic of refounding the educational system aimed at strengthening the roots of learners in cultural and patriotic values.
In the Binde Basic Education District (CEB), several other schools have also initiated similar activities. These events served as a framework for raising students' awareness of the values ??of solidarity, tolerance, and social cohesion. They were also used to demonstrate a surge of solidarity towards the Defence and Security Forces (FDS) and internally displaced persons (IDPs), through messages of support and sharing.
Through these initiatives, education stakeholders intend to contribute to the formation of citizens attached to their cultural values ??and committed to serving the nation.
